Over 50 participants in Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops conducted by CoolVeg in Niger learned about how clay pot coolers are assembled, how they work, and the benefits they provide. As part of Feed the Future's Yalwa Activity implemented by Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), these participants are now conduct training sessions in communities in the Maradi, Tillabéri, and Zinder regions of Niger.
Raising awareness about the ability of these inexpensive and locally available clay pot coolers to preserve fruits and vegetables will help meet the growing demand for affordable, safe, and nutritious food.
